The worst thing you can do in life. @stephenfry vs Antony Gormley vs Beau Lotto
There’s a great interview with Stephen Fry doing the rounds on the theme of lessons in life. He compares goal-seeking to exploration, and compels us towards the latter – an attitude of experimentation and learning.
Just Trial & Error, a film screening next week at the Barbican, explores this theme in depth with the likes of Antony Gormley and Beau Lotto.
This is a fundamental lesson to me, both personally and in my work. Starting businesses and creating new tools for people is all about experimentation. And with life naturally being in flux, I find an attitude of exploration and learning is pervasively valuable.
I’ll be at the Barbican to watch the film and Q&A on Wednesday. Please join me! (You’re invited too, Stephen!)
